About Danok

Dannok, which used to be just a few shops  at both sides of the main road just after the border gate, has grown at tremendous speed over the last few years, mostly due to Malaysians crossing the border in search of sex and shopping.

Danok is a small town about 500m square. All destinations are within walking distance and the only other mode of public transport around the town are the motorcycle taxis or tutus. Any point to point destination in the town cost 20 bhats or RM 2. Malaysian currency is universally accepted in this town, no need to change your money here if you have ringgits. The rate is RM 1 equals 10 baht as far as where the hotels, the brothels, the beer bars, the discos and massage parlours are concerned.
